This event is co-organised annually with the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and takes place at the opening of the annual session of the Legal Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) in Vienna, Austria. The IISL and ECSL are both observers at the Legal Subcommittee.
This symposium brings together academic experts and leading practitioners in the field of space law, policy and regulation to discuss pressing issues and to propose solutions to the international community.
The 2019 Symposium
The 2019 Symposium will take place in Vienna on the 1th of April, and start after lunch on the first day of the UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee.
The Symposium will consider Moon Agreement. The program will be made available in the coming weeks.
ECSL Members as Observers to the 2019 IISL/ECSL Symposium and the UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee
The UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee will convene in Vienna from 1 - 12 of April. A few members of the ECSL will have a chance to receive an invitation to observe the work of the Legal Subcommittee and attend the IISL/ECSL Symposium.

Please note that the ECSL will not cover any expenses, and that invited members will have to organise their trip and cover the costs associated with participating themselves.
