Entrepreneurs introduce their businesses:

The French-Dutch-Norwegian start-up company EATOPS provides advanced tools and systems to monitor remote gas and oil offshore installations. The system RIVOPS uses techniques and methodologies that have been proven successful for spacecraft control at ESA.

Hosted at one of ESA's Business Incubation Centres during the company's initial start-up phase, entrepreneur and co-inventor of EATOPS' RIVOPS Alexandre Van Damme presents here the business.

ESA Business Incubation Centres

The ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs) are part of the Agency’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) to encourage and foster transfer and commercialisation of space technologies. ESA BICs have been set up in several European countries. The centres support selected entrepreneurs with comprehensive commercial and technical assistance to help them start up businesses that use space technology in non-space industrial, scientific and commercial fields.

ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office

The main mission of the TTPO is to facilitate the use of space technology and space systems for non-space applications and to demonstrate the benefit of the European space programme to European citizens. The office is responsible for defining the overall approach and strategy for the transfer of space technologies, including the incubation of start-up companies and their funding.
