On 1 June 2016, German airforce Brigadier General Ludwig Leinhos, a senior Cybersecurity expert from Germany's ministry of defense, visited the Spacecraft Operations corner in the ‘Space for Earth’ pavilion at ILA, the Berlin airshow. He was briefed by ESA's Juan Miro, responsible for ground systems engineering and Deputy Head of the ESOC Establishment in Darmstadt, Germany.

ESA is exhibiting in the ‘Space for Earth’ pavilion (Hall 4) at ILA – one of the world’s largest aerospace trade shows – this week.

In addition to providing briefings and guided visit to the Operations Corner in the pavilion, mission control experts from ESA, DLR (the German Aerospace Center) and European industry are on hand to help visitors ‘fly their own satellite’ using sophisticated simulator tools and to provide information on the challenges of operating spacecraft near Earth or deep in our Solar System.
