BR-232: SMART-1: Technology records from ESA's small genius en route to the Moon
SMART-1 was aimed at developing, testing and demonstrating new space technologies to be used operationally on subsequent deep-space spacecraft (including BepiColombo, Solar Orbiter and LISA).
It also made scientific investigations during the cruise to the Moon and after arrival. The onboard experiments were selected as a trade-off between the best possible scientific return and the technology demonstration goals.
This document was published as a collection of cards that introduce the various technologies and then assess their performances and give lessons learnt.
