We are only as secure as the world we build around us. As space debris accumulates at record levels, and as solar storms threaten infrastructure on Earth and in space, our way of life – and sometimes life itself - is at risk. From the satellites in orbit that watch over our planet, connect us to one another and help us perceive the universe, to power grids and navigation services, protecting Europe’s means protecting the tools we rely on.

As one of the three ‘Accelerators’ that will drive Europe’s increased use of space, the ‘Protection of Space Assets’ Accelerator will help Europe act to ensure the safety of the technological world around us. It will help develop a new, circular economy in space with sustainability and responsibility at its core, led by European businesses, safeguarding Europe’s economy, sovereignty, and modern life.
