This image of part of Ascuris Planum was acquired by the High Resolution Stereo Camera on ESA’s Mars Express on 10 November 2014 during orbit 13785. The image focuses on the Tempe Fossae features, which are thought to be graben – the products of tectonic extension.
The image is centred on 39ºN/281ºE. The ground resolution is about 18 m per pixel.
