The Moon imaged by the Vegetation instrument on ESA's Proba-V minisatellite Twice a month, PROBA-V acquires lunar images for calibration purposes, using only the central camera of the three-camera Vegetation instrument. Due to the observing angle and satellite motion the Moon appears elongated in the along-track direction, known as the oversampling factor.
