In 2023, more than 500 Primary and Secondary School teachers from ESA Member States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia have already participated in the teacher workshops organized by ESA Education at its ESEC facilities in Belgium. 

During the ESA Education workshops, teachers have the opportunity to get a taste of the agency's activities and experience a range of STEM related tools and activities for the classroom, always using space as the context. Three main space themes where ESA is involved are covered: 

  • Technology and Robotics 
  • Earth Observation and Climate and 
  • Space Exploration

ESA Education Office is now announcing the teacher training schedule for April, May and June 2024. 

Trainings are open to Primary and Secondary school teachers residing and teaching in ESA Member States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia and feature seven workshops using three different space themes: 

  • Teach with the Moon (Space Exploration themes) 

         Primary School Level: 15-16 April & 3-4 June 2024 

         Secondary school level: 25-26 April & 10-11 June 2024

  • Teach with Earth from Space (Earth Observation and Climate themes)  

         Primary school level: -

         Secondary school level: 27-28 May 2024 

  • Technology and Robotics

         Primary School Level: 6-7 May 2024

         Secondary school level: 15-17 May 2024
