N° 14–2021: Call for media : Press conference with ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet from the International Space Station

Media representatives are invited to a press event with ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet to learn more about his arrival at the International Space Station and the start of his second mission.

Registered journalists will be able to ask questions from French space agency CNES HQ (Paris, France) to Thomas Pesquet, during a live Q&A session on Friday, 30 April, from 11:20 to 11:40 CEST.

After a 24-hour journey on a SpaceX Crew Dragon, ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet arrived at the International Space Station on Saturday, 24 April. During his ESA Alpha mission, as part of an international crew, he will conduct more than 200 scientific experiments in the Station’s cutting-edge laboratories, including 12 experiments prepared by ESA and CNES. He will also conduct maintenance activities.

This press event will take place online in English and French.

Because of health and safety restrictions, a maximum of 25 accredited journalists will be able to participate in the press conference on site at CNES HQ (2 place Maurice Quentin, 75001 Paris, France).

The press conference will be streamed at esawebtv.esa.int, but only registered media will be able to ask questions (French or English).
