N° 47–2000: Space is working for you: ESA and BNSC at Farnborough Air Show

Farnborough International 2000 takes place from 24 to 30 July. Monday 24 is a press day, 25-28 are trade days and the Show is open to the public over the weekend of 29 and 30. ESA and BNSC share a 370 m² stand, in a building next to the media centre.

Six main themes will highlight ESA and BNSC programmes under the title "Space is working for you": Earth Observation, Astrobiology, Space Weather, Telecommunications, Satellite Navigation and Transfer of Technology.

Quarter-scale models of Envisat, GalileoSat, Soho and Cluster will be on display, together with 3-D animations of Earth observation applications and the Mars Express mission, with a full-scale model of the Beagle lander. Videoclips will be shown in all thematic areas.

ESA and BNSC films will be shown permanently in a cinema area, which will also be used for press events and other presentations.
